INTENDED USE
The device is used to dry potatoes slices after the process of scalding.
STRUCTURE
The device consists of the following elements:
- Band conveyor transporting the product
- Intensive water blowing of the product assembly
- Drying assembly with a steam heater
- Assembly regulating the operational parameters of the device
EXECUTION
The raw material directly from the scalding device or with the use of the transporter is passed to the band conveyor of the device. Firstly, the slices are subjected to a strong stream of air where the excess of water is blown off. Next, the slices are subjected to a drying chamber where they are dried by a steam of hot air produced by a steam heater. The intensity of the air blow and the temperature can be regulated so that the cleansing effect is as best as possible.
